Ahead of the new Premier League season, which kicks off on Saturday, EA Sports increased the excitement levels with their official teaser. 

The trailer, commentated by Sky's Martin Tyler, begins with quick-fire shots of stadiums including the Allianz Arena and Fratton Park, the home of League Two Portsmouth.

It's not long before fans are treated to glimpses of the game, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Jordan Henderson - who stars on the front cover - and his former team-mate Raheem Sterling all making appearances. 

In a star-studded clip, Gerrard and fellow MLS new boy Andrea Pirlo also feature in the clip which already has more than one million views.

FIFA 16 will arrive in stores around the country on September 25 and it will be the first version to feature women's football, including the England women's international team. 

Gamers will be able to play using Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden and USA in addition to Mark Sampson's Lionesses. 

And to ramp up the excitement, the USA women's team featured in the clip alongside stars of the men's game. 

The advert ends with a familiar sight of Barcelona star Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating their individual goals.
