Mind-blowing truth behind mysterious gold relic found buried in cemetery

A beautiful shining golden sceptre with eight precise groves in it was unearthed in a Jerusalem cemetery six months ago.

The groundskeeper who discovered it called the police as he thought it was a bomb.

An explosives team gave it the all clear and it was handed to Israel’s Antiquities Authority.

Experts X-rayed the solid 8kg object and analysed its materials – but were unable to identify what it was or how it was used.

Remains from the Roman, Byzantine and Crusader periods have been uncovered at the graveyard and Amir Ganor, the authority’s director of theft prevention, wondered if it were used in Jewish temples during Bible times.

After six months the team were still stumped – so stuck it on Facebook and asked the public for suggestions.

Guesses flooded in, with people suggesting it was a musical instrument, rolling pin, massage tool – or a sex toy.

The authority received more than 300 responses – but only one was right.

An Italian named Micah Barak correctly identified the sceptre as a "Weber Isis Beamer" – an "energy harmoniser" that New Age mystics claim creates a protective field to shield against radiation.

The "beamer" is named after Isis, the Egyptian goddess of medicine, magic and nature – not the terror group Islamic State, also known as Daesh.

Manufacturer Weber Bio claims it "may harmonise even extremely strong geopathic and electromagnetic radiation fields”.

The antiquities authority is satisfied it finally has its answer.
