SOCAR organizes reception in Paris before Euro 2016 final match

 

Rovnag Abdullayev, SOCAR President, Elshad Nasirov, SOCAR Vice President for Investments and Marketing, Elchin Amirbeyov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France, Rachida Dati, Mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, Thierry Braillard, Secretary of State for Sports, Gianni Infantino, FIFA President, heads of UEFA and national football federations, other officials, as well as football stars attended the event.

 

Ambassador Elchin Amirbeyov welcomed the guests and specially pointed out the work of SOCAR, which was UEFA's official partner in the European competition, toward the development of football. Rovnag Abdullayev, SOCAR President said the company successfully fulfilled its commitments. He thanked UEFA and the French government for organizing the European championship. Rachida Dati, Mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, thanked SOCAR for its sponsorship and partnership and expressed her support to Azerbaijan. She said Azerbaijan and France had strong friendship and the French parliamentarians, who attended the event here, were always supporting Azerbaijan.

 

Thierry Braillard, Secretary of State for Sports, said he was always working for strengthening relationship between Azerbaijan and France, SOCAR and FIFA. He emphasized that France made all efforts toward organizing the best European championship, providing security and making the events memorable. He also appreciated Azerbaijan's experience in organizing the international events like Baku -2015 European Games. Gianni Infantino, FIFA President thanked the organizers of Euro-2016 championship and SOCAR for its partnership and invited the attendees to visit Baku during Euro-2020.
