The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has not given the banks any instructions on suspending the dollar receipt, General Director of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Agshin Valiyev said at a press conference.

"We do not know which sources spread this information," he said.

According to Valiyev, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan set several recommendations to commercial banks: "The Central Bank recommends that the banks adapt their systems so that they could reveal fake banknotes in foreign currency on time. Some 125 fake banknotes in foreign currency have been revealed so far, which is a relatively low indicator, given the world practice."
