$1.2M stolen from Russian plane that crashed in Afghanistan

As much as $1.2 million was stolen from a Russian Falcon 10 plane that crashed in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, reported from Hasht e Subh newspaper.

According to the paper, the first to arrive at the crashed plane was a group of people associated with the chief of staff of the Taliban armed forces, Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat.

Upon learning of the theft, the Taliban governor in Badakhshan, Muhammad Ayub Khalid, appointed a commission to investigate the incident.

The Falcon 10 business jet crashed in the mountains of Afghanistan on January 21. Four crew members were saved, but two passengers - entrepreneurs Anna and Anatoly Evsyukov - did not survive.
