The Russian army shelled the Kherson region of Ukraine, Head of the Kherson regional military administration Oleksandr Prokudin said on Telegram.

According to him, about 40 shells were fired into the area targeting private residential buildings.

As a result, 2 residents were killed and many civilians were injured.

Emergency medical personnel and rescuers were involved in the incident area.
