In Kyrgyzstan, the census of the population and housing in 2020 will be held in electronic format using a mobile application, Trend reports citing Kabar.

According to the National Statistics Committee, in accordance with the order of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov on conducting a population and housing census in electronic format in 2020, the National Statistics Committee has developed software for a mobile application.

This mobile application was tested in the pilot census of the population and housing in 2019 in some regions of Kyrgyzstan. The test results of the mobile application showed that the quality of the received data has improved, the time for processing information has been reduced, and it has become possible to quickly identify and correct errors.

In this regard, it was decided to conduct a full-scale population and housing census of 2020 from March 23 to April 1 using a mobile application using enumerators' mobile phones.
