Over a thousand people, including 77 children, died in traffic accidents in Azerbaijan in January through November, according to the traffic police. As many as 2,646 people, 258 of them children, were injured in 2,646 traffic accidents, Kamran Aliyev, a spokesman for the police, told Trend news service.

Twenty-seven of the children killed during the period were under seven, he said.
