ABB has been awarded a contract for the construction of a pipeline which will bring gas from Azerbaijan to Europe.
The company will deliver the software solutions which will contribute to safe, secure and reliable operations of the project.
The $11 billion (£7.26bn) Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), which is expected to be 1,850 kilometres long, will connect the South Caucasus and the Trans Adriatic.
The gas will come from a gas field in the Caspian Sea and enter the European network from Italy.
TANAP is a partnership between BP, Azerbaijan’s SOCAR and BOTAS from Turkey.
Earlier this year ABB won a contract worth $450 million (£288m) to link the power grids of the UK and Norway.
