AFFA has officially announced that the head coach of Azerbaijan's national beach football team will be Portuguese expert Jose Miguel Mateus.Before his is set the goal to prepare the team for the European Games-2015 in Baku, 1news.az reports citing the website of AFFA.Today AFFA hosted a meeting between the coach and general secretary Elkhan Mammadov, which was also attended by President of the Azerbaijani Beach Football Federation Farid Novruzi. They discussed the current state of the team, its potential and plans to prepare for the upcoming tournaments.Jose Miguel Mateus was born on 9 June 1959. He was a goalkeeper, and as a footballer was the winner of the European league, the European Championship and the America's Cup.In 2003 he became head coach of the Portuguese national team, which won the European Championships, and held the 2nd and 3rd place at the world championships.
