State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has put into operation the well on the shallow section of Guneshli field after the major repair.

   SOCAR press office reported that the well No 220 has been drilled from the offshore platform No 15. After the well repair its production rate totaled 75 tons of oil and 18,000 cub.m. of gas a day.

   Development of the shallow section of Guneshli field started in 1980. The field ensures about 65% of SOCAR’s oil production.
