A major air alert associated with the takeoff of Russia's MiG-31K fighter jet has been declared in Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports citing the map of air alerts.

According to monitoring channels, a Russian Air Force MiG-31K took off from the Savasleyka airfield.

MiG-31K is a potential carrier of the Kh-47m2 Kinzhal hypersonic missile, which is difficult for Ukrainian air defense to intercept.
