The issue of Russian arms supplies to Armenia can be resolved, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan told journalists in parliament, reported from Armenian media.

He noted that the Russian side has a chance to show that it remains committed to its principles and signed documents.

He noted that if obligations are not fulfilled, "and it is a fact that they are not fulfilled, then Armenia must protect its own interests.”

In early December, Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Hrachya Sargsyan said that Armenia does not intend to sue Russia over weapons that were not supplied as an advance payment. 

The exact amount was not officially announced, but according to some sources it is $250 million, according to others – about $400 million.
