He was speaking at a joint press conference with his Czech colleague Marketa Pekarova Adamova in Yerevan.
He denied allegations that the authorities want to change the basic law of the country under pressure from Azerbaijan.
"We need to understand where Armenia is going and what goals it is pursuing, for which the Republic of Armenia exists,” he noted.
At a government meeting on January 19, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the country needs a new fundamental law that will make the country "more competitive and viable in the new geopolitical and regional conditions.”
