Ali Hasanov discusses illegal trade of 3 tonnes of drugs at close session

Illicit drug trade has been discussed in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Officials of relevant authorities under the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking have today held a closed session with the participation of Chairman of the Commission, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov.The Commission told APA that the outcomes of operations conducted by the relevant authorities as a result of the preliminary information, received from Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs that a large amount of drugs (588 kg, 885 grams of heroin dissolved 2.800 liters of detergent compositions, 11 kg 759 grams of morphine, 2 kg 201 grams of codeine) was seized in the country that passed through the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was discussed at the meeting. The relevant authorities were instructed to continue the investigation and regularly inform the State Commission.It was noted that the issue is under the control of the Azerbaijani President.Bakudaily.Az
