Aliyev, Davutoğlu meet to discuss ties, energy

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu held talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Ankara to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries as well as their latest energy and transportation projects.

Sources said the talks between Davutoğlu and Aliyev primarily focused on transportation and energy projects and that both leaders discussed relations at all levels.

Aliyev, who is in the Turkish capital at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will meet with the president on Thursday. Both officials will reportedly discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments. Aliyev will later participate in the fifth meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
