The gas hub project proposed by Russia is one of Türkiye’s priority areas in the energy sector, Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar told the Milliyet newspaper.

"We have a lot of work to do. I believe that Türkiye’s Centenary will only make sense if it becomes the century of energy. Turning into a gas hub is part of the concept. Our main goal is to start new investments and reforms. We must attract huge investments in Türkiye,” he said.

Russia’s Gazprom and the Turkish side continue to study the issue of creating a gas hub in Türkiye. Recently, the Russian company presented its concept, parameters and principles of operation.
