Angela Merkel to visit Turkey

Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel is paying a visit to Turkey on October 16, Report informs, citing CNN Turk. 

Merkel has been in power in Germany for 16 years. 

On September 26, parliamentary elections were held in Germany. The Social Democratic Party of Germany won 25.7% of the vote. The German Christian Democratic Union and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) bloc, of which Angela Merkel was the leader, came in second with 24.1% of votes. The following places are "Greens” (14.8%), Free Democratic Party (11.5%), Alternative for Germany (AfD, 10.3%), and "The Left” (4.9%).
