Apple's 3D Touch is undoubtedly one the coolest extras that's included on the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

This force sensitive screen allows you to quickly access features on your iPhone pressing harder on the display.

So, if you're lucky enough to own the latest Apple hardware, here's nine 3D Touch shortcuts you need to master.

1. Remember where you parked your car with Maps

Press down on Apple Maps and "Tap Mark My Location".

Maps will then remember your current location down to the inch so you'll never lose your car again.

2. Super epic slo-mo moment coming?

Deep press the Camera app and simply slide your finger down to "Record Slo-mo" to begin taking some epic slo-mo goodness.

3. Tackle that instance of artistic inspiration

On the Notes app, deep press and select "New Sketch".

You'll then get quick access to a mini drawing pad complete with pens, paper and even a ruler.

4. Get speedy access to the latest tunes

Feel the need to boogie? Simply deep press the Music app and select Play Beats 1 to immediately hear some of today’s best music for free.

5. Need a quick private browsing session?

No judgement here. Just deep press Safari and select New Private Tab.

Safari won’t save your browsing history and asks website you visit not to track you.

6. Never miss a word

Still feeling fast asleep during that early morning meeting or class?

Quick Actions and Voice Memos has you covered.

All you need to do is deep press Voice Memos and select "New Recording". It will record everything that's said, so you don’t miss a word.

7. Seamless Workout

Need to make sure you’re holding that plank for 30 complete seconds? It’s as easy as deep pressing the Clock app and selecting Start Stopwatch as you hold that position.

Works great in the kitchen too as a chef of any level can benefit from the Start Timer option.

8. Make sure you don't miss that important email

No one wants to check their email over and over again waiting for that one message from your boss to come through.

All you need to do is deep press Mail and the VIP selection shows you how many unread messages you have from your VIP contacts.

You don’t even need to enter the app.

9. Built-in time machine

Want to remember exactly what you were doing a year ago?

It’s incredibly easy with the Photos app.

Just deep press on Photos and select One Year Ago and you’ll be taken straight to the photos you took a year ago.
