Armed Forces of Ukraine: Heavy fighting underway in Soledar, Donetsk

The situation is tense in Soledar, Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine. Heavy fighting is going on in the town, the Eastern Forces Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said, reported from RBC Ukraine.

Kyiv sent additional forces and means to this section of the front to stabilize the situation.

There were 22 clashes in this area over the past day. Measures are being taken to prevent the Russian troops from advancing.

According to official information, the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to fortify the front in Soledar to prevent the Russian army's attacks.

The separatists in the Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine claim to have captured the village of Bakhmutske in Soledar’s vicinity.
