Starting from April 27 evening until 04:00 am on April 28, Armenian armed forces fired Azerbaijani residential settlements, as well as Azerbaijani army's positions in the country's Terter and Aghdam districts,ANN/az reports citing to the website of Azerbaijani defense ministry.
Armenian military used 60, 82 and 120-millimeter mortars, as well as 122-millimeter D-30 howitzers. Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted strikes only on Armenia's military facilities.
On the night of April 2, 2016, all the frontier positions of Azerbaijan were subjected to heavy fire from the Armenian side, which used large-caliber weapons, mortars and grenade launchers. The armed clashes resulted in casualties and injuries among the Azerbaijani population. Azerbaijan responded with a counter-attack, which led to liberation of several strategic heights and settlements.
