International journalists had the opportunity to go to Karabakh and see what was happening. Now the voice of Azerbaijan is heard in the world, Director of UNIAN Information Agency of Ukraine, Mikhail Gannitsky, said in an interview to Haber Global.

He reminded that the Armenians completely destroyed everything in Karabakh, including the cities: "Areas are mined, even walking is dangerous. But at the same time, we saw hope in the area. So, the government is building new roads and new houses for people to return to Karabakh."

The journalist compared Karabakh and Ukraine: "Cities such as Bakhmut were completely destroyed. Bakhmut remains a hot spot of the war. The Russians are trying to destroy everything there. We saw the same in Karabakh. The Armenian invaders did it with the support of the Russians. The two wars are similar. We saw the traces of the tragedy in Aghdam, where hundreds of civilians were killed."

Gannitsky said that the reconstruction works carried out by Azerbaijan in Karabakh are a model for Ukraine: "We should learn from Azerbaijan's experiences. This experience should be shared with us since Azerbaijan did it very well. We can already see the results. Karabakh and the occupation of Ukrainian territories have similar aspects as well as different ones. For 30 years, the world did not hear the just voice of Azerbaijan and faltered in the issue of Armenian occupation. The Armenian diaspora also has a role in this matter."

The director of UNIAN emphasized that 30 years ago, it was impossible to circulate the footage of the war all over the map: "30 years ago, it was possible for bad people to do bad things and cover them up. They destroyed all the documents and lied to the world. They could conceal their attacks. Armenians have a large diaspora all over the world. Therefore, they have the power of influence, they can spread their opinions and even their lies. The Russians also want to do this to us."

The journalist said that his article comparing what happened in Karabakh and Ukraine worried the Armenian diaspora: "The Ombudsman of Ukraine announced that the investigation into the article had been started. But I did not receive a notification from the Ukrainian police. In my opinion, the Armenian diaspora put pressure on the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman also took such a step without giving me any information. If the police are really investigating something, we are ready to help. If the police ask me, I am ready to share all the information I have."

Gannitsky said that Azerbaijan is an ally of Ukraine in the war with Russia: "Armenia is an ally of Russia. Armenia helps Russia to get rid of sanctions. We know that."
