Azerbaijan is faced with doublestandards by some countries and international organizations, and that’s becauseof the influence of powerful Armenian diaspora, said Asim Mollazade, leader of theDemocratic Reforms Party of Azerbaijan and a member of Milli Maclis(parliament).
“Powerful, rich and very-wellorganized Armenian diaspora organizations in the US, France and most of otherEuropean countries are having a serious impact on these countries’ foreignpolicy,” Mollazade said.
Because of that influence, noconcrete action is being taken against Armenia, which has ignored four UNSecurity Council resolutions calling for immediate and unconditional withdrawalfrom Azerbaijan’s internationally-recognized territory, he said.
The developments in Moldova,Georgia and most lately in Ukraine indicate that all these conflicts in theformer Soviet republics have been created by the same forces, using the same scenario,Mollazade said.
The situation is getting even worsebecause of the so-called legal nihilism, he said.
“The developments in Ukraine are a continuation of the events in Nagorno-Karabakh. And all this is becauseof the failure to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within internationallaw,” Mollazade said.
