Dramatic optical illusions of women tearing themselves in half have been created using one artist's clever bodypainting skills.
Pioneering inventor Jeampiere Dinamarca Poque, 29, overcame extreme hardships and poverty in his native Chile to follow his dreams of becoming an artist.
His mind-bending images show a woman tearing her chest apart from her waist, while another woman's body appears to split down the middle.
Other striking pictures show a women escaping from her own body, as well as monster appearing to emerge from a woman's back.
Jeampiere said the unusual series of work came to him on 'the spur of the moment' while he was working in his studio in Santiago de Chile.
'The girl cut in two occurred to me when I was about to paint,' he said. 'I started without any real plan of what I wanted to create. It was a momentary thought that sparked the idea.
'Most of my paintings are created in the spur of the moment.
'It is important to be real and true to yourself, and in doing so be free.'
Disclosing the secrets of his awe-inspiring technique, Jeampiere said the optical illusion effect is achieved by mixing a white background with white paint and using clever photography skills.
By doing this he said: 'I was able to get the result I wanted, the woman tearing herself apart.
'The environment where I paint is really important. It must be aesthetically good. It was vital to get a strong sense of the skin tearing.
'Photography is also integral to making this idea work, getting the angles of the shots right makes the art work come alive.'
Despite people being 'shocked' by his work at first glance, Jeampiere said the overwhelming feedback he's received has been positive.
'The relationship of the painted body with the environment, or the use of the environment for the creation is amazing,' he said.
'People who see this work are initially shocked but love the idea, it causes a real visual impact.'
As well as being an accomplished bodypaint artist, Jeampiere has also won awards for his short films and has published many YouTube videos.
The multi-talented creator has also has three music albums to his name and has put his graffiti designs to a line of Mp4 players.
He has also established himself as a comedian on YouTube channel, 'Maicol Jerzon'.
