The chairman of the Democratic Reforms Party of Azerbaijan, Asim Mollazade, has left for Istanbul to participate in the Atlantic Council's Energy and Economic Summit. At the summit, which marks its 5th anniversary, political and business leaders from all over the world will discuss challenges in the fields of energy, economy and politics. The participants will exchange views on ways of addressing regional and global issues of the Black Sea and the Caspian regions, the Middle East, the Balkans, the United States and the European Union. They will focus on the issues of expanding relationships and the ability to solve problems.The summit will be opened by Turkish President Abdullah Gul. Former US National Security Adviser Brent Scowcroft, former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, senior energy officials of the US and Turkey will make speeches at the summit. The summit will host more than 350 regional ministers, CEOs, and other leaders from over 40 countries. More than 200 reporters will be covering the event.
