The draft law on recognition of the self-proclaimed "Republic of Nagorno Karabakh” will be put up for discussion at the Armenian Parliament.

The bill is on the agenda of session scheduled for May 6.The authors of draft law are secretary of Heritage Party parliamentary faction Zaruhi Postanjyan and member of Armenian National Congress Hrant Bagratyan.

 Bringing the draft law to agenda is the results of discussions hold between the Armenia and Karabagh separatists leadership which stipulates "consideration of future development and foreign factors.”

 

Will Armenia recognize the independence of "NKR" by putting the draft law on agenda? To which extent it cmay have an impact on Azerbaijan?What is the reason of not recognizing the independence of "NKR” by Armenia so far? Asim Mollazade, MP, the chairman of Democratic Reforms Party commented to ANN.az these questions. 

Armenia with this step once again proves that it is aggressor country and annex Karabagh to its territory: 

"I want to remind that in 1989 the Supreme Council of Armenia Republic adopted decision on annexation of Karabagh. Afterwards Armenia beilived that their game consists of the following:Armenia is does not take part in the conflict, saying this is the conflict between Karabagh and Azerbaijan. In order to not to be under the international sanctions and pressure of world countries  Armenia stayed at the side not accepting Karabagh as an integral part of its territory.

 

According to the chairman of the party Armenia by this removed its mask: ”By giving decision contradicting international law,I beilieve Armenia will carry out its aggresor policy.It is not excluded that possibly the forces governing Armenia , will make  MPs to avoid adopting such a decision.Armenia just tires to make a show.”

Asim Mollazade said that  discussing this draft  law in Armenia  will not any impact on Azerbaijan.

"This is the show organized by Armenia.Its aim is to prevent pressures against the internal policy and Sargsyan’s rejime.This show is arranged to  descalate the tension, enhance the  spirit of patriotism in Armenia and to persue aggressor policy in an open way. The discussion of the  draft law can not have any impact on Azerbaijan. Unfortunately there has been no pressure on Armenia so far  in the international level. It is not included that international organizations will disclose their attitude against such steps.But we regret that all international organizations so far did not assess aggressor’s policy from a legal perspective/standpoint .The demonstrated disrespect to the rule of  law” said  Asim Mollazade.
