It is also reported that more than 100 police officers were injured during the clashes, with some in critical condition. In turn, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attacks by opposition Justice Movement party supporters on the country's law enforcement officers.
"Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack by protesters on Rangers officers and police officers on Srinagar Highway," according to a statement issued by the press service of the Islamic Republic's government head's Secretariat.
