Azerbaijan aims to protect its economy from global negative developments

"Destabilization and the interests of some countries are the main causes of the political, military and economic crisis raging across Eurasia”

The world is in a deep economic and financial crisis. The crisis has become more serious especially in Eurasia. Both in Europe and in Asia, there is an economic decline, APA reports.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks on Tuesday at the meeting dedicated to economic issues and preparation of the state budget for 2016.

The head of state said that there are objective and subjective causes of this economic recession and that experts are studying and will continue to study these causes.

Our main duty is to protect the country’s economy from global negative developments to maximum extent, President Aliyev said, noting we are doing this successfully, ensuring our country's security, stability and economic development.

The president said there is enough information to conduct an analysis of the causes of the political, military, and economic crisis raging across Eurasia.

"We see that the main causes of this crisis are destabilization and the political interests of some countries. Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed in recent years in the Middle East. They are the victims of foreign interventions and bloody conflicts, and there seems to be no end to the war. Quite the contrary, there are new centers of war, from which innocent people are suffering. The situation in the post-Soviet area is getting worse; economic and political crises are dominating, trends for confrontations are getting stronger. We’re neighbored with the post-Soviet area. We see it and the public too know that foreign intervention does play a role. And suffering from these all are again innocent people,” stressed President Aliyev.
