Azerbaijan and Georgia have to agree on state border between the two countries length of 180 kilometers, reporters were told by Garib Mammadov, the head of the State Committee for Land and Cartography. Common border between the two countries is 480 km, and 300 km of them have been agreed.
One of the most painful moments for the parties is the demarcation of the border in the Orthodox monastery "David Gareji" , part of which is located on the territory of Azerbaijan. Georgian side proposes the exchange of territory so that the entire complex was in Georgia, but Baku rejected this option.
According to observers, the matter could be among the issues discussed today during the official visit of the President of Georgia in Azerbaijan.
