Azerbaijan and Iran mull export of electricity

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov had a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Aliabadi in China, Shahbazov said on X.

The meeting focused on joint projects on the agenda of the energy cooperation between the countries.

"We discussed the matters arising from the implementation of the Khudafarin and Giz Galasi HPP, Ordubad HPP, coordination of electricity networks of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia, the cooperation opportunities within the electricity export and the establishment of regional electricity relations,” Shahbazov said.
