The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on Monday condemned twin deadly bombings that struck Russia's Volgograd city, a major transport hub in southern Russia.
"The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the deadly terror attacks in Volgograd against innocent civilians, expresses condolences to the injured and wishes them speedy recovery," the ministry said in a statement.
Azerbaijan, as a country that has suffered from terrorism, condemns terrorism all its forms and manifestations, it said.
A bomb blast ripped through a trolley bus in Russia's southern city of Volgograd, killing at least 14 people and injuring about 30 others, just a day after at least 17 people were left dead in a separate suicide bombing at the central railway station of the same city.
The twin deadly attacks have stirred up fears of further violence as Russia prepares to host the Winter Olympics in Sochi, a resort on the Black Sea coast, from Feb. 7-23.
