The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has shared a weekly report (01.07.2024–07.07.2024) on demining operations carried out in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from Armenian occupation.

Last week, 28 anti-personnel and 107 anti-tank mines, as well as 830 unexploded ordnance, were found and neutralized in Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankendi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts.

A total of 1,039.5 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.

To note, following the liberation of its lands, Azerbaijan began operations in November 2020 to clean its lands of mines, booby traps, and other weaponry left behind by illegal Armenian forces.
