Work is underway to set up a joint committee between Azerbaijan and the European Union to monitor the implementation of agreements on visa facilitation.
The head of the EU office in Baku, Malena Mard, told Azerbaijan's Trend news agency that the agreements came into force on Sept. 1 this year.
"We want to make sure that the agreements benefit both parties," she said.
On prospects for cooperation between the two sides, Mard said the number of joint programmes between Azerbaijan and the EU is growing.
EU member states and Azerbaijan are exploring ways of collaborating in areas including tourism and environment.
