Azerbaijan increases gas exports to Georgia in first half of year

The StateOil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported around $640 million cubic meters of naturalgas to Georgia in the first half of 2014, up 43.5 percent from the same periodlast year, a source at SOCAR told Trend news agency.

SOCARsupplied almost 1 billion cubic meters of gas to Georgia in 2013, slightly upfrom 993 million cubic meters in 2012.

Azerbaijanalso exports gas to Turkey, Russia and Iran.
