This was said during a press conference by the director of the Center for Political Innovation and Technology, a political scientist Mubariz Ahmadoglu.
The political scientist added that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the rules for the use of the airspace of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Under these rules, an aircraft that intruded the airspace of Azerbaijan without a permission, while ignoring the requirements of a forced landing, may be knocked down. "Azerbaijan has become a member of the club of space powers. The launch of the satellite AzerSpace-1 into orbit and the launch of the space center has formed a new stage of development of Azerbaijan. Is it possible to conclude on this basis that in 2014 Azerbaijan is ready for war with the aim of solving the Karabakh problem?
In his commentary on the matter the political scientist Natig Miri told ANN.Az that against the background of reducing tensions in the region there are no prerequisites for the new hearth fire of war. "For the beginning of the war Azerbaijan is not in a favorable situation in the region and globally. If you pay attention, you will see that the tension in the region gradually decreases. Especially when you consider the understanding, which is achieved in relations between the West and Iran, you will see that the world's major powers, which are the United States and Europe, are interested in resolving this tension. Based on this, I do not believe that the world powers would be interested in a new war to break out in the region. This conflict will not be a small-scale event, in which only Azerbaijan and Armenia will be involved. Given supporters and allies of each side, this war could lead to a conflict of an even larger scale. And Iran is not interested in this issue because there will be a serious blow to Iran's economy, which is already not in the best condition. And Russia is serious in this matter. Russia will continue to exert pressure on Azerbaijan, playing the card of Customs Union and European Union membership. But I do not believe that it will go further than that because the beginning of the war does not fit in with the national interests of Russia. Russia will face a choice and support of Armenia will oppose it to Azerbaijan, Turkey and other powerful nations of the world that, given today's difficult situation in Russia, is absolutely unnecessary."
He said that in the circumstances he does not believe that Azerbaijan may decide on war. "I do not believe that under these circumstances, Azerbaijan can start a war. If it decides to start it, it will meet with strong opposition of the powerful, which does not correspond to the interests of Azerbaijan. In this issue it can be left alone, and that in the future may lead to permanent loss of Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding areas. It can lead to recognition of the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, which is not recognized as an independent subject. I do not believe that Azerbaijan may take such an imprudent action in 2014," he said.
The military expert Rahib Gharib told ANN.Az about the possibility of the military use of the satellite AzerSpace-1. "Of course, no one but the supreme commander can know or predict the exact time of the outbreak of war, and it cannot look believable. And the fact that Azerbaijan is in the war atmosphere is quite natural because undeclared war is not over yet and our territories are under occupation . The launch of the satellite AzerSpace-1 into orbit is an important factor in strengthening the military power and security of our country. Against the backdrop of the increased attention of strong states to issues such as cosmic war and conflicts, the presence of a space satellite of Azerbaijan is a great achievement. If at any time, to ensure the integrity of the country, a military action begins, it seems to me that it is possible to use the satellite AzerSpace-1 for military purposes. It is no secret that the United States, Russia and other major countries use space to achieve certain goals and their superiority in this matter has been a serious confrontation. Our country is ready to conduct its just war on this path," said the expert.
As for the war, Gharib pointed to the fact that during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers the Supreme Commander named 2014 the deadline for Armenia to reach a final decision. "Surprisingly, it seems that even after more than 20 years, we are still waiting for a fair international decision on the matter. In fact, our commitment to the war and the fact that it may begin at any time is a consequence of the aggressive actions of Armenia and unfair and biased position of international organizations. And the fact that this year is the last line was evident from the receptive speech of the President of our Republic at the Cabinet meeting and was announced by the Supreme Commander. The Head of State assessed 2014 as the deadline for Armenia to come to a final decision and made an emphatic statement that Azerbaijan will never allow to create a second Armenian state, which clearly demonstrates the high level of our training and faith in our own strength," summed R.
