Azerbaijan: Neftci FC coach Suleymanov resigns

Nazim Suleymanov, coach of Baku’s Neftci football club, has resigned.

Neftci, which won the Azeri national championship in the past three years, has set the target of winning again this year, “which will not be possible under the current circumstances,” Suleymanov said in a statement on the club’s website.  

The club’s president, Sadiq Sadiqov, has accepted the resignation, according to Futbolinfo.az..

Boyukaga Haciyev, who trained Neftci for two seasons between 2011 and 2012, has agreed to take over as head coach, Futbolinfo.az said.
