Azerbaijan oil exports via BTC fall in February: Socar

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) main export pipeline shipped 2.2 million tons of Azeri oil last month, down from 2.3 million tons year-on-year, according to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (Socar).

The link also carried 200,250 tons of Turkmen oil in February, down from 301,703 tons, and 251,087 tons of Kazakh oil.

Kazakhstan resumed exports via BTC in October.

Azerbaijan saw its crude production fall to 3.6 million tons in January from 3.8 million tons a year earlier, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Partners in the BP-led BTC project include Socar, Chevron, Statoil, TPAO, Eni, Total, Itochu, Inpex, ConocoPhillips and ONGC Videsh.

Azerbaijan also uses the Baku-Supsa and Baku-Novorossiysk pipelines and rail to export oil.
