Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal distributed ration bags donated by the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) among flood victims of Sargodha region in a ceremony. The food items were distributed as a gift from the people of Azerbaijan.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan Dashgin Shikarov and Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Managing Director Barrister Abid Waheed were the chief guests at the ceremony. Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador Dashgin Shikarov highlighted bilateral ties and shared values of the two nations that bring their people together.
Shikarov briefed the participants about AIDA’s humanitarian aid throughout the world. He showed his willingness for more joint relief ventures with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal for providing assistance to the poor people of the country.
The ambassador vowed to give such relief support in other flood-hit areas of Pakistan as well. Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Managing Director Barrister Abid Waheed expressed his gratitude to the people of Azerbaijan for showing solidarity with the affected people of Pakistan and for having trust on the transparent and capable service mechanism of the Bait-ul-Mal.
He said that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal will keep extending all-out support and giving maximum relief to the flood victims. Waheed also acknowledged the humanitarian assistance of AIDA for mitigating the difficulties of flood-affected people of Pakistan. On this occasion 300 flood-affected persons were provided relief goods.
