SOCAR has said that oil exports from Azerbaijan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline via Georgia and Turkey stood at 24.4 million
tonnes in the first ten months of this year, a 1.2% increase as compared to the same period a year ago, Reuters reported.
According to the company, oil shipments through the BTC pipeline grew 1.15% last year to 28.84 million
tonnes.Azerbaijan ships oil via the pipeline from BP-operated Azeri,
Chirag and Guneshli (ACG) oil fields.The country also ships oil via Russia, through the Baku-
Novorossiisk pipeline and via Georgia by rail and through the Baku-Supsa pipeline.Oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan is also shipped through the BTC pipeline.
