An agreement on the reduction of interconnection rates is expected to be reached in Azerbaijan soon, Trend news agency reports, citing Ali Abbasov, minister of communication and high technologies.

Negotiations on the issue with Azerbaijan's mobile operators are currently in the final stage. 

The minister expects that the reduction in the inteconnect rates will lead to a decrease in prices for end-users.
