The Azerbaijani government plans to build a new town near Baku for nearly 80,000 people displaced by the Karabakh war, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said.
Construction of the town is planned to start in 2016 in the Qobu area east of the capital, said Hasanov, who also heads the State Committee for IDPs.
The town will house IDPs settled in dormitories, kindergartens and other public buildings in the Absheron peninsula.
