The Defense Ministry warned Armenia against carrying out military flights over the occupied Azerbaijani territory.
In a statement on its website, the ministry dismissed as misinformation Armenian media reports that the separatist regime
in Nagorno-Karabakh flew military aircraft over the line of contact, saying the Air Force is in full control of the country's entire airspace.
“According to international law and decisions by the International Civil Aviation Administration, all flights over the occupied territory have been prohibited," the ministry said. "Therefore, any unauthorized flight over this territory will be assessed as a violation of our airspace. Azerbaijan’s Air Force has the most up-to-date weapons to counter violations of our airspace. Should such a violation take place, Azerbaijan’s military aircraft and air-defense systems will immediately destroy those targets."
