Azerbaijan exported more natural gas and less crude oil in the first quarter year-on-year, the State Customs Committee said.
The country shipped 2.4 billion cubic meters of gas during the period, up from 2 billion cubic meters a year earlier, according to a report on the committee website.
Crude exports fell to 8.1 million tons from 8.5 million tons. Of the total, 6.5 million tons were delivered via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) main export pipeline.
The Baku-Supsa pipeline exported 1.08 million tons of oil through Georgia’s Black Sea port of Supsa.
Just over 400,000 tons were shipped by rail.
Azerbaijan pumped 10.4 million tons of oil in the January-March period, down from 10.8 million tons a year earlier, the State Statistics Committee said.
Production of marketable natural gas grew to 4.5 billion cubic meters from 4.4 billion cubic meters.
