Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadquliyev will leave for Switzerlandto hold talks on Azerbaijan's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Trend reported.
Mammadquliyev is expected to meet officials from WTO, the International Committee of the Red Cross and theInternational Organization for Migration.
Azerbaijan began consultations with WTO in 2004. A working group wasestablished for WTO talks in July 1997.
Azerbaijan has attended WTO meetings as an observer since then.
The country is still in talks with the US, Japan, Brazil, Ecuador, SriLanka, the European Union, Norway, India, South Korea, Taiwan, Canada,Switzerland and Honduras on WTO accession.
Talks have been completed and protocols signed with Turkey, Oman, theUnited Arab Emirates, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.
