An Azerbaijani army serviceman was killed by Armenian fire on June 15, the Ministry of Defense said on its website.
Samandar Karimov, 20, was decorated posthumously by Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, the ministry said.
Karimov had been recruited from Fuzuli District.
At least two Armenian and two Azerbaijani soldiers have been killed in clashes in the past few weeks.
Armenia captured nearly one-fifth of Azerbaijan’s internationally-recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding districts, in a war after the Soviet breakup in 1991.
Major hostilities ended with a ceasefire in 1994 but no peace agreement has been signed.
