Azerbaijani becomes President of newly established organization in Ukraine

Leonid Kravchuk: "Minorities have big role in the development of Ukrainian state”.

A presentation of newly established Ukraine Nations Assembly was held in Kyiv on November 15, 2013. The ceremony was attended by the state and government officials, MPs, heads of the societies and organizations representing minorities in Ukraine as well as former President of Ukraine, one of the founders of CIS Leonid Kravchuk, public and political figures and representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps and international organizations, APA reports. 

It was noted that the newly established organization unites Ukraine Hungarian Congress, Ukraine Jewish Forum, Ukraine Turkic Speaking Nations Center, Ukraine Azerbaijanis Forum, United Ukraine-Azerbaijan Congress, Crimean Azerbaijanis Society, Ukraine Gagauz Congress, and other organizations, represented in Ukraine as a minority.  

Head of the Ukraine Azerbaijanis Congress Rovshan Tagiyev was introduced as a president of Ukraine Nations Assembly.

Delivering a speech at the event R. Taghiyev noted that representatives of the peoples living in Ukraine have played a serious role in the development of the country while was enjoying full rights in the country.

First President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk also addressed at the ceremony and said that the representatives of ethnic peoples played big role in establishment of Ukrainian state. He added that Ukraine needs these ethnic people for the further development of the country.

MP at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oles Doniy has talked on importance of the newly established organization for Ukraine.

Other participants also have addressed at the ceremony and wished success and expressed their great expectations on the organization.
