Azerbaijani journalist’s son commits suicide

Azar Mammadov, the son of Shahismayil Shammadoglu, the Georgia reporter of Azerbaijan’s state television channel AzTV, has committed suicide.

Azar, 19, shot himself dead in his family house in Georgia’s Gardabani District on January 3.

It is not exactly known why the young man took his own life. Azar wrote a 12-page letter before his death, saying this world is not for him, his father said.  
Azar was a student of Istanbul University. He was buried in the village of Kosali in Gardabani District.
