Azerbaijan exported 28 million tons of crude oil in the first 10 months of 2015, Xosbaxt Yusifzada, first vice president at the state energy company SOCAR, said in Baku on Wednesday.
That compares with 28.2 million tons of oil the country exported last year, according to data on the State Customs Committee website.
Yusifzada said 24 million tons of oil was exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in the January-October period. That’s up from 23 million tons the BTC delivered a year earlier.
Azerbaijan saw its crude production decline by 2.1 percent in the first nine months of the year to 31.4 million tons.
