Azerbaijan’s Central Bank has said its foreign currency reserves fell almost 11 percent in January year on year as it intervened to prop up manat.
The reserves stood at $12.68 billion as of January 31, down from $14.22 billion a year earlier and $13.76 billion a month earlier, the bank said.
The Central Bank said it spent $1.13 billion in December to prevent dollar gain against the national currency.
