(Baku Daily) - Azerbaijan produced less crude oil and more natural gas in the first ten months of 2014 year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee said.

Oil production in the January-October period fell to 35.6 million tons from 36.1 million tons a year earlier, the committee said on its website. 

Production of marketable natural gas increased to 15.5 billion cubic meters from 14.6 billion cubic meters.

Azerbaijan’s oil production has been on a steady decline since peaking at 51 million tons in 2010.

The country pumped 43 million tons last year.
